Well, another year, another badass trip to the Bahamas. We had a great week with some great company. I miss it already, and am anxiously awaiting our return. The Bahamas is a special place…. boarding the plane in Miami and heading east is as close to going back in time as you can get. The flats are filled with all […]
SWC Bahamas Trip 2013
SWC Bahamas….Don’t Even Bother Asking Which Island.
The last trip across the Atlantic gulf stream left me wanting more. Mostly just weather that didn’t resemble Canada. No offense Canadians. Luckily, another trip had been in the works for some time. When I saw this was a glimpse of what mother nature would provide, the juices started flowing. Logistically, it was another DIY trip. 8 good friends, two […]

Carp Exploration
The weekend forecast called for a heavy dose of sunshine, light wind, and springtime temperatures to ring in daylight savings. With the nice weather, I actually considered heading to the local stream to catch some stocked trout. I’d probably lose count at some point in the day but that thought quickly escaped my mind. Spring is in the Air
High sun, decent winds, and days of clear skies. Finally, Spring is officially here! I did some fishing the past week, and the weather was a bit inconsistent, but I was able to get two good days in, and on foot.

No small occasion to say the least, I was excited to have them as guests as it afforded me two excellent opportunities. The first being a chance to […]

So here are a “few” of my shots from my time on this little island in the western Caribbean.

Coastal Conservation Association
I’d like to thank the CCA for the honor of being the Featured Artist at their Naples Banquet this past weekend. I support what they do, and am happy that the feeling is mutual. This piece was donated for the Live Auction at the banquet, glad it went to a good friend, and added to his collection of pieces that […]
Inclement Tying
The wind is up to 20 knots and the water temps on the flats are about mid 60’s in the Lower Keys, so I’m tying flies.
