Here is a long lost photo of the biggest snook I have seen in… well… ever… and I have seen a lot of them. She was a beast that fell for a DOA terroreyez. One lure that has a few skeptics but it has proved its place in my tacklebox time and time again.
Monstah Snook
On the Money
I was lost out in the depths of the Everglades today on my Gheenoe with a buddy. We brought the fly rods, GoPro’s and some paddles. Found plenty of these guys. As well as some with a black stripe painted across their body. Went hammer on my flat brim… Until next time!
Mini season bail out
A few weeks back, Chris and myself left the Keys during the dreaded mini lobster season and headed north in search of beach Snook. We walked many miles of sandy shorelines looking for line siders with not much to show for it. We each landed a small snook and had the hook pull on a few other nicer fish. At […]
Flamingo Bound
Headed to Flamingo in the am. Hope to find some snook in the morning.
Canvas&Acrylics… Again!
Well here are a few more paintings I have done. These are all up for grabs. Although this Bonefish one does match my room color scheme perfectly. Selling it will make more room for more canvas.
Deadliest Catch – Flamingo FFT
I made it down to the park with Mario. We chased around the big reds and snook all morning in the super skinny. But then the wind decided to turn and kick up to 30mph. So, mario blind casting with the spinner felt something. he reeled in and turned out he somehow hooked a crab around the claw….lol Hit the […]
Pit Stop in Ft. Myers
On our way back home from Tampa, we decided to stop at Bass Pro in Ft. Myers. I had the bright idea to call up the homie Kyle “Big Snook” Petrick to see if we can get in on some fish. He mentioned the night tide would be great for snook. So Mario and I decided to stick around town […]
Memorial Day
I had the pleasure to spend the extended Memorial Day weekend down south with friends. The Lower Laguna is on my short list favorite places to fish, but I have a love/hate relationship with the area. The water is clear, the fish are plentiful, but the conditions are always unpredictable, specifically the wind. The winds seems to blow hard nearly […]
fla·min·go
I made it out to the park with a buddy Dan Decibel to chase some redfish and snook on the long rod. On his first shot of the day, Dan pulled out what became his biggest redfish on fly to date at 28″. I had the bright idea of putting his wading fly basket on and poling myself to a […]
Go Big or Go Home
For the past month or so, a few friends and I have been trash talking back and forth. As the time came closer, the more and more trash was spoken. It was all about the second annual Don’s Bait and Tackle Backcountry Blow Out tournament. Last year, my buddy Alex Hernandez and I managed to take home the prize of […]
