This past weekend SWC hosted their Annual Christmas party, that took place in IC Sharks located in Tampa. I had to drive alone because I had no one to go with. The plan was to meet up and go fishing with a buddy of mine, Gavin Greco, who lives in the Naples Area. After I finished Djing on Friday night I headed out and met up with Gavin to do some fishing on the way to Tampa. I wanted to do some fishing on the way so that it wouldn’t be that bad of a drive. I took my grandmas 4 cylinder car to save on gas money and made it to Tampa and back for under 65$.

Saturday Morning, the plan was too look for juvenile Tarpon and Snook. The fishing was not that hot but we still made the best of it. We caught some fish including some nasty Alligator Gars, that I didn’t want to take part of. We ended up fishing til about noon because I still had a good 2 hour drive left to Tampa.
There was no way in hell that I was gonna touch these things.
We worked hard to catch this Tarpon all day and it finally had paid off.
Once I got to Tampa I went straight to Vince’s house to get ready. Once all showered and clean I had some beers with Vince, Cuda Kyle, John and Chase. Lets just say I was pretty shit face before arriving at the party. We arrived at the party pretty late, thanks to Vince driving like a grandma the whole time. The Party was a total success. Everyone brought tons of toys and canned goods for the church. There was 2 cars filled up to the point where no one can fit in them. Here are some random screen shots from the party.

I really got to give it up to Vince, Jenn, Kelly, Chase, Cuda Kyle and John, and all the employees at IC sharks, who worked hard all night long so that everyone can have a good time. Also gotta give a huge thanks to Tribal Style, who played some killer jams at the party and the Catering as well. Also can’t forget the sponsors and people, who donated tons and tons of stuff for the raffle. And most important everyone who came to the party and brought toys and canned goods. SWC really appreciated what everyone did.
It was Sunday morning at Vince’s house and it was awesome. Jenn, Kelly and Vince made everyone a phenomanal breakfast. I stuffed my face. Everyone got ready because we had to drop off all the toys and canned foods at the local church. Once at the church the people couldn’t believe how many toys SWC had raised. It was all thanks to you guys who joined us at the Party. Once again thank you so much for the support. Once we finished unpacking the car full of toys and canned foods everyone said their goodbyes and it was time to go home. As Vince and I were to part ways, Jenn came up with a genius idea about taking Vince fishing on his gheenoe. He quickly accepted and we were on our way. We headed back to the house to get the gheenoe ready. Once it was all good we headed out for a couple of hours of fun fishing. Before we got to the ramp there was word around town that the best Cuban sandwiches were just a couple of blocks away. There was no way we were gonna pass this up.
The entire day was gloomy and cold. We went looking for Black Drum, Snook, and Redfish. Vince took us to a spot where he thought they would be in this type of weather. He was on point, I got a good amount of shots but the fish wouldn’t eat and also my cast weren’t the best. 
Vince had told me we should hit up a night time spot for trout and maybe some snook. I wasn’t complaining since I’m always down to fish. After a cold ride and couple of shallow bars we had finally made it and it paid off big time. Vince sure knows his stuff, as soon as we got there we hit the jackpot. He caught his slam and I was very happy because he hadn’t gotten out in the water in months. 
It wasn’t long before we called it a day. Like an idiot I didn’t bring anything to cover myself from the cold that night. I was freezing the entire time. Vince gave me his hoodie because I looked like a girl bitching because of how cold it was. We had a great time, thank you so much Vince for taking me out fishing. We went home and got some Outback steakhouse carry out and a good movie. Before you know it everyone was asleep. I got in contact with Gavin Greco saying he wanted to fish on Monday morning, as tired as I was, I accepted. I figured back track to Miami and some fishing in the morning and then go to work at 2 pm. Luckily everything went as planned.
This time the fishing was on fire. We caught so many of these juvenile Snook and Tarpon.
Since I froze my ass off the night before, there was no was I was gonna leave my Hoodie behind.
These juvenile fish are super fun especially on 6 wt long rods.

Gavin had the chance to sight cast some snookies in really shallow water he hooked a really big one but it spit the hook.

Like they say all good things must come to an end. I headed back to Miami to clock in for work at 2 pm. All I can say is that I really appreciate Vince and Jenn for opening their home to me. I can’t wait to go up again and visit them and their kids. I hope you guys enjoy the report and pics.
