“The Raffle” Video
This past December 2014, Skinny Water Culture hosted their annual Christmas Party. Tons of people gave donations such as toys, money, and canned goods for those in need of help. There was a raffle held with some great prices, such as fishing charters, fishing gear and even a small boat/paddleboard. Our raffle was a little different, we decided to make […]
Prequel to 0400 Hours
If haven’t read the “0400 Hours” by Jason Fernandez, it is probably a good thing because this is the prequel. It was December 27th and we had decided to camp in Flamingo that weekend. The whole point was to take Jason’s 13 year old brother to catch his first redfish on fly. It had been a while since he had […]
Fishing 4 Work
Most of my fishing revolves around the clock. That being said, I work a “Monday to Friday” job and I don’t have to go in until noon-ish. I always hear people saying that they don’t have time to fish due to work, kids, or simply just a financial thing. Trust me, I completely understand were everyone is coming from and […]
Going Way Back (Part 1)
I was able to get a weekday off with Hard Core Fly Tying (HCFT) ambassador, Dustin Pack, to go explore a local creek that we have been eyeballing on Google Earth for a while. Global Imaging Systems and Google Earth have drastically changed the face of exploratory hunting and fishing. As a kid we would spend long days exploring where […]

Fat Guys in Little Boats
Currently on the way to the Florida Keys for a day of fishing. I writing this blog on behalf of Derek Rust, Jason Fernandez, and Joe Mirrione. For the past couple of weeks we have been mentioning about a tandem canoe with with four us. Yesterday we finally made it happen. We have been wanting to take out Derek for quiet […]
Getting Hostel
The Plan: Convert my F250 to run on alternative fuels. Eat fried everything and dump the oil into the truck. Brian Jill inspired me with his Geofish project. My story is basically the same only lame. I didn’t quit my day job and still can’t afford to travel and fish like I want to. I have a desire to jump […]
FATE in The Wind
I am writing this blog on behalf of Derek Rust, Jason Fernandez and myself. Sorry for the amount of pics and bad grammar. This past weekend was nothing short of spectacular, from the events that took place and to the unforgettable memories. It all started friday night as I was sipping my water, which “Lared” probably spit in, at a […]
The Addiction
I could start this post by telling you that I’ve fished my whole life, which would be true, in a way. As a kid I fished the lakes of Valrico,FL for bass, catfish, bluegill, and even alligators. Basically anything that would bite my lure was what I was after. I loved fishing back then, but that’s not when my obsession truly […]
Long H i atus
To say that I haven’t posted anything in a long while would be an understatement. I have a list of excuses, but I don’t even want to hear them myself. Busy season lasted longer than it ever has for me this year, which is hard to complain about. Getting to fish for a living is a dream job to me, […]
