This past Friday a buddy and I decided to head North in search of some Wisconsin steelhead. We talked to a few other guys that had some luck in Milwaukee and after two phone calls we were officially playing hooky and ready to fish. I headed over to his place Thursday night, to shorten the drive in the morning, and […]

Cheetos and Reese’s Pieces….
Had a busy day at work yesterday, I got home pretty late. As I finished eating my dinner, I quickly made a dash to my bed for some rest. As soon as I laid on my bed, my friend Jason a.k.a PK, called me to go fishing for a couple of hours. I quickly replied, NO WAY!!! I was so […]
How I Wasted My Summer

I packed swiftly, making sure I had the essentials, my SWC hat, fly rod, and whatever clothes were clean. Leaving my apartment here in […]
“Snook Blitz”
After a slow morning looking for hungry fish on the flats, near Gasparilla Sound, we were ready to call it a day. Bryan, Courtney, and myself had put in some hours blind casting the 8 and 9wt fly rods into the wind. Sore hands and blisters were common on the boat that day. With the wind blowing the water into the harbor […]

Nile Perch
The word for perch in Swahili is sangara. Each day, we went out in the hopes of catching a sangara kubwa sana, but the very big perch eluded us. Instead we caught a bunch of babies, relatively speaking. Sangara kidogo.
