Back in April I had abandoned one of my favorite carping spots in search of new water. The fish in this particular venue had become almost too savvy to compete with. After three months of fishing elsewhere it was time to say hello to my favorite group of fish once again. Back in April the tools of the trade consisted of 4-5x tippet and size 14-16 flies. Upon arrival I was pleased to find out that this was not the case, 90 days without being terrorized had them chasing down a size 6 dragon with vengeance.
