Red Friday

“Should have been here yesterday.” Words you never want to hear utter from someone’s mouth when you travel a long way in hopes of catching a hot bite. Those words sting even more when they’re coming from a buddy in your inner circle of friends who enjoys rubbing it in your face when you’re a day late and a dollar […]

Big Pimpin

FINALLY!!! After four unsuccessful tries to get out on the water, this mofo dusted off the mask and headed out . I was so jacked packing up my gear I felt like I was in a “A Team” montage. Met up with a good friend who doesn’t mind poling me around in boat for a six pack and a whataburger breakfast on […]

Another Day…Another Dollar

I wasn’t sure about fishing today.  I had been the last 3 days in a row.  I woke up early and started thinking about tailing sheepshead from yesterday.  Grabbed a Don Miguel’s beef steak and jalapeno burrito.  Hitched the boat and took off to the glades! Second day in a row with a 32″ red…not too common for Everglades National […]

Tis the Season…

High winds, lower water temps and clouds…that seems to be the pattern this time of year. I have been searching far and wide trying to find some nice fish. Today we finally scored some good ones. A few nice reds and Dan’s first sheepie! I also pulled the hook on two sheepshead…man those things are tough and awesome! I’m really […]

Running of the Bulls

I spent a few days east of the border last weekend. The food was good. The company was great. The fishing was incredible. The first day started off a little slow. We had trouble finding clean water. The grey skies weren’t doing us any favors either. I caught one low 30” fish early but that was it.

Snow Carpin’

As Fall slowly fades and Winter takes over, here in the northeast the carp become quite lethargic and are much harder to find. The term hardcore becomes an understatement as you head out in search of these creatures. A lot of time is spent staring at nothing until the opportunity presents itself… Don’t mess it up!

G lassed Out

I spent the other day fishing for a few hours in the Glades with my buddy Mike and my Chowda Dogg.  The conditions were like you read about….. glass calm, not a cloud in sight, and complete blue bird skies.  We had the place all to ourselves. Post front winter time fishing can be great and often times you get […]

Picture Perfect

As anglers were subject to the constraints of the tyrant named Mother Nature. She does what she pleases. We’re merely hostages to her moody behavior. Every now and then she’ll smile down and grant us passage on a picturesque day. On rare occasions she’ll string two or more blissful days together for us to enjoy her splendor. Two weeks ago […]
