This past sunday turned into an amazing sunday when we ran into a school of black drum tailing a flat. We went to town on them until our arms hurt, called it a morning after 2.5 hours on the water. Here is the evidence:

Flying Solo
Shark Rescue
I was out fishing this morning when I noticed a spear gun. It was moving across the flat. Attached to it was a Lemon Shark. I removed the spear and got a really nice Sea Hornet gun in the process! Check out the footage of me wrestling the spear free.
FLYmingo ENP
TailingLoop.Tumblr.com Presents: FLYmingo ENP I’m trying to figure out what to do with all this footage. Should I keep it as stock footage in a folder on my MacBook to some day use it for a short film. Or should I just put it out there while it’s relevant. So I’m thinking I might go ahead and start […]
Memorial Day
I had the pleasure to spend the extended Memorial Day weekend down south with friends. The Lower Laguna is on my short list favorite places to fish, but I have a love/hate relationship with the area. The water is clear, the fish are plentiful, but the conditions are always unpredictable, specifically the wind. The winds seems to blow hard nearly […]
A Day in the Marsh with an Old Friend

The plan for the day was to hit the water with a friend I haven’t fished with in a while. Dressed, teeth brushed, […]
fla·min·go
I made it out to the park with a buddy Dan Decibel to chase some redfish and snook on the long rod. On his first shot of the day, Dan pulled out what became his biggest redfish on fly to date at 28″. I had the bright idea of putting his wading fly basket on and poling myself to a […]
Apparition – Preview
Here’s a preview to a film I’m working on with a couple buddies. It will be showcasing fly fishing for bonefish in South Florida. I feel like the majority of bonefish films are shot in the Bahamas. The film will be showing many different ways to chase this frustration. I’m also working on a video for redfish and snook. Watch […]
The Ides of March
Interestingly enough, carping in month of March made me miss the hardships I endured back in January and February. Spring was definitely here. Large shoals of carp were now staging in the shallows. Amongst the shoal, small groups could be found cruising, tailing, sunning, you name it..they were doing it. It was chaos…
