One of my favorite places to get away from the city, Big Cypress National Preserve. Its 729,000 acres of endless cypress swamp with many opportunities to get up close with some Everglades wildlife. Everything from alligator, snakes, birds, deer, aliens, bears, otters, and panthers etc… (still waiting to cross paths with a panther or bear). This is why its one of my favorite places to explore you just never know what or who you might run across out there. Just you and mother nature and lots of Euro/Asian tourists. There are also many hiking trails in the area for the more daring, but I highly recommend doing your research before wondering to far into one. Go check it out if you get a chance, something a little different than the Everglades flats and mangroves that we all love to stalk. Go be the one being stalked! Enjoy!!
