I headed out to Flamingo to stalk some supper skinny reds with the fly rod. It was slicked out for about 4 hours and I had all the reds I could handle. They were really spooky but when I got close enough I usually got ate. Seen some big girls but they refused my offerings. Ended up 5 for 8 on fly.
Caught this 25″ right off the bat. First fish on fly for 2012!
After that they started pouring in
Occasionally they would tail
I played ring around the rosie with this big girl for about 15 minutes. She was over 30″ for sure. Every time I got close enough for a shot she would refuse it.
